To The Edge of The World (second letter)

Hi Again.
I still don’t know how to get to you.
I’ve been imagining a 21rst century Walden scenario. It might be as close as I’ll ever get to you.
Do you have autonomy? Have you ever been alienated? You might have a just society and not know it — a state of grace without law or language.
Thoreau tried to find it, but he was a community of one living on land that was originally taken from others by force. A general store was within walking distance and he put a time limit on the whole thing.
Can you simulate freedom, let alone define it?
Civil disobedience is his true legacy, just as it is for Rosa Parks.
Parks died in poverty last month. There are schools and streets named after her. She withstood the hatred of thousands and empowered millions of others but she couldn’t afford medical care or a proper diet, living out her final years in a tenement slum. Oprah Winfrey didn’t think to intervene. It would have made great TV, just like the funeral.
Is any of this comprehensible in your position?
Is that where Justice waits us out?
