JEREMY TODD presents a new NOT SENT LETTERS SET with BEN WILSON, ERIN SIDDALL, SARAH SHAMASH & CYNTHIA FLEUR BRONAUGH. The work incorporates performance, projections, live scoring, and play, with a first letter to Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos, a second letter to My Waking Self and a third letter to Julia, selected and read from the project archive.

Not Sent Letters Set (March 5, 2016):

DAMLA TAMER & JEREMY TODD, two Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artists, engage with the politics of encounter, friendship and the atomization of contemporary life.  Reduction, elaboration, mis- and over-interpretation become discursive strategies within an accumulative exchange and presentation of images and text. STÉPHANE BERNARD, a Vancouver-based artist and writer, presents Hospital Landscape. The work combines elements of drawing with a spoken word presentation of sampled texts by the likes of Borges, Joyce, Keats, Thoreau, Updike, and Wilde; with
instrumentals by Bowie.

Special Thanks to DAMLA TAMER (hosting liaison & contributing artist), ELMIRA HABIBULLAH (door), ALISHA WENG (photography), RAFAEL ALBERTO ARGUELLO RUIZ  (videography) & DYNAMO ARTS ASSOCIATION.

TOMOYO IHAYA, a Vancouver-based artist often working abroad, presents a letter written to a friend living in a politically sensitive place. The letter can’t be sent without compromising the addressee’s safety and will be read aloud at NSL&G by KUNSANG CHOEKYI. The first draft of a new animated short (Eyes, Water, Fire) will be screened immediately following the reading, dedicated by the artist to everyone caught up in similar circumstances. AHMAD TABRIZI, a Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artist and designer,
resurrects Gullible Gutsy, a gate keeping, nepotistic, incestual art-critic-historian-whore that nobody wants to hear from.
Digital Short Films
TOMOYO IHAYA screens Eyes, Water, Fire. LAURA BUCCI, a Vancouver-based artist exploring inter-human relations through
intervention, screens Redbook Presents: Causes & Effects, a work juxtaposing vintage footage and contemporary screen experiences to question the modern pursuit
of meaning.
FILIP GORECKI, a Vancouver-based artist and musician focusing on time, duality and age, screens his latest music video: Subaqueous II. GRAHAM MEISNER a Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artist and musician, returns to NSL&G with a music video inspired by This Picture of You (first letter) from the project archive.
